This place is amazing! It's a good place to be secluded by yourselves with someone you enjoy their company with. The wait staff is amazing and quick and they make sure you have everything you need and very friendly! If you're going for drinks those are also pretty darn good you'll probably have a second one :-)

Great experience, service and food. The food was great, but what is also worth mentioning which I've personally never seen done elsewhere was the table side salsa which was both genius and flavorful offering three levels of heat. Would highly recommend.

Now with changes of new owner, service and food has dissolved. My all time favs of fish tacos is more a thin/soaked tortilla with no dressing and chintzy on the inside.only highlight is the fish is good, but slim on the add ons and no dressing. Also. That they force your hand at adding 18% tip for 12% service/quality, very sad.

Great experience! Beautiful decorations. Great staff that was ready to serve with a smile. Food was amazing. Owner was at the front desk greeting people. Drinks were great. Inside was very spacious and the restrooms were well managed.

Food was awesome. I love how they make your salsa fresh the way you want it right in front of you. The service is also great. I got a steak burrito and it was pretty good. Tender and flavorful. Prices not expensive either. We paid about $40 for 2 meals and drinks. We also ordered some type of seafood soup. It was good. Will most definitely be back.

First time here. Service was really good. They mix the salsa at your table to your liking which I thought was awesome. Ordered the enchiladas and loved them. Was thoroughly impressed by this place. Great job. Will come back and try the fajitas next time.

The food was delicious! The server was very nice and the margaritas are made with nothing holding back.

We ordered 2 breakfast plates. The food was cold even the extremely hard corn tortillas under the eggs. My potatoes and beans also cold. The only thing that was hot was the tortillas they brought way after my food was delivered. But they were wrapped in foil so they're going to remain hot. The service was very not very attentive. Drinks came late and a number of things. Not impressed. I will not be returning

This was the grand finale of mexican restaurants from the food to the drinks and staff even Mrs Sylvia Barragan (Owner) will see to food & drink request or suggestions when ordering. In my book its Casa CHAPALA for dinning out.

great food, i recommend this to people who adore Mexican and sweet foods. a ton of food options, so you'll never run out of things to choose. amazing culinary work, dishes are grand in size and worth the price!! you'll most likely leave the place stuffed and happy. if you're not a fan of Mexican food, they also have burgers and such, but Casa Chapala is Mexican based and how it shows culture is absolute and fantastic, 100% would recommend, uwu👌

Stopped as I passed through town with my husband and some friends. The staff was sweet and provided amazing service! Our drinks were never low and our table was always clear. We chose the buffet which was great. Had a decent variety, different types of enchiladas, tortillas, and taco fillings. They also had fruit for the buffet as well. They did have a menu as well. Fed three adults, all buffet with drinks, right at $40.

By far has the best margaritas in all of Bastrop, the service was phenomenal and I was very pleased with the cleanliness of said establishment. My fiance had steak fajitas which were so tender and piping hot, and seasoned really well (I had a bite or two) and I had pipipon Verde which had a little kick but not overwhelmingly so and rice and veggies as sides. The meal was excellent. I cannot get over how fantastic this meal was. the plates were piled so there is plenty of food we took some home, which is not something we regularly do but food was so good, I insisted. On top of all that the service was beyond excellent. I wouldn't say that it is a cheap meal including drinks but it is worth the expense. I don't give it 5/5 it gets a solid 10/10.

Wow! What a spread. Brunch was lovely. Excellent service. Atmosphere is genuine and inspiring. It matches the chocolate fondue station that is a MUST VISIT! Come experience the culinary treat here in Bastrop Texas ...right next to Buccees!

It's really crummy that you only get one serving of chips and salsa complimentary because you don't know how spicy their salsas are... we said the spicy because we like stuff spicy but it was so spicy that we couldn't eat it or anything else because it burned my mouth, gums and stomach so much we had to leave... They should let people try the Salsas first and see which one is best for them or give them a heads up about the spicy

Another good place to hang out in Bastrop! Drinks were yummy & definitely hit the spot if you know what I mean. Food is very very good! Atmosphere is friendly, clean and inviting! Make a point of eating there whenever I'm close by

We have all of our business meetings and parties here. The upstairs is spacious,great and they always are consistent and on point with service! Our go to for Chicken Tortilla soup🤠

I like the atmosphere.Server was very pleasant.However when we ordered fish they had NO Tarter Sauce.Who serves fish with NO tater sauce.I personally felt the prices were too high.Average plates was $25. Basically nothing under $15. For your basic Mexican meal. Nothing special.

It was our first visit to this awesome restaurant! I cannot wait to go again we had the best waiter ever, and the food was so fresh and just like no other food I've ever tasted. Cannot wait to go back

Let me start off by saying this table side salsa ?? Yes please this was by far the best Mexican food I've ever eaten. And I had to buy some salsa Togo because there spicy salsa is phenomenal. I ordered the quesdillas and they were amazing we had a party of 15 and they were so nice and very professional. If I'm back this way ever I will be making a detour to go to casa chapala ifni could give you 10 stars I would good job guys.

I ordered coconut shrimp. When they brought it out, there were five small shrimp arranged nicely around some lettuce. I asked if it came with only five shrimp. Waitress went to ask. She came back and said six shrimp but they ran out of coconut so they only gave me five. She asked if I wanted a regular fried shrimp. YES, everywhere I have eaten shrimp, it is always six, eight or twelve. The salsa is awesome there. They spice it to your liking at your table.
